The Driller is responsible for the recovery and presentation of accurate samples through safe, cost effective, and professional practices in order that client expectations are met or exceeded.  The Driller is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the duties and tasks outlined within this specification are undertaken in accordance with DiamondBack Drilling policies, procedures, and practices.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a driller operator
  • Must commit to working safely and ensuring the safety of co-workers
  • Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Consistently apply sound drilling practices and techniques
  • Fully understand the terms of the drilling program to ensure successful project completion
  • Be able to train and supervise one or more employees in the proper care of
    equipment as well as correct and safe work procedures
  • Prepare paperwork including daily drilling reports and equipment & site inspections
  • Have a current, registered driver’s license without major infractions in the last 3 yrs.
  • Be physically fit and able to pass a fit for duty test
  • Be able to pass a background check and pre-hire drug test
  • Have a preference for working outdoors and be able to adapt to a nomadic lifestyle
  • Effectively communicate and cooperate with others in close working environment
  • Be able to work 12-hour shifts (day or night) in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain and snow for extended periods of time
  • Have a mechanical background and aptitude, with skills in operating and maintaining machinery
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently throughout a 12-hour shift
  • Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing and squatting
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must have good work ethic and aspire to advance your career
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and keeping inventory of supplies and critical spares
  • Submit daily rig sheets into Krux in a timely manner
  • Schedule crew travel plans and adhere to a routine work schedule
  • Maintain crew morale and focus on team growth

The Driller Assistant is responsible under the guidance and direction of the Driller for assisting in the recovery and presentation of samples through safe, cost effective, and professional practices in order that client expectations are met or exceeded.  The Driller Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the duties and tasks outlined within this specification are undertaken in accordance with DiamondBack Drilling policies, procedures, and practices.
